Our story begins in the late 1960’s when Carl Fort founded Fort Construction in Metropolis, Illinois. His desire was to build good quality single family homes at prices that the average “working” man could afford. Carl Fort enjoyed many years of providing this much needed service to the areas of Metropolis, IL and Paducah, KY. As the years went by and the business grew larger, Carl’s sons, Tony and Mark Fort, began working in the business with their father. It was in this capacity that they learned not only the in and outs of home construction, but also what it takes to provide a high level of customer service, which unfortunately is some times lacking in the construction industry.

A major turning point came when Fort Construction started getting requests to assist homeowners rebuild their homes after a fire or water loss. Before long their reputation as a property loss remediation company grew and the decision was made to concentrate exclusively on that part of the business. By the early 1990’s Carl Fort, after a long and fulfilling career retired from day to day operations. Tony Fort became the new President of the company. Under Tony’s leadership the company continued to grow and expand its services (See service guide) to the point that the construction title was no longer descriptive of the company. So last year Fort Construction became Fort Services! Operating from our home office In Paducah, KY we are able to respond to losses thru out western Kentucky, southern Illinois and northwest Tennessee.

Today Fort Services is truly a premier Restoration, Cleaning and Reconstruction Firm. Fort Services is listed as a certified firm with the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification).
